I had not heard of World Cocktail Week prior to this year. From my previous experience as a bartender I know it was a plus to treat the talent of mixing drinks like an art and do more than just pour from the bottle. Those were fun times and quite a few life lessons worth learning. This year DC will get the libation nation involved with a few notable mixologists and celebrate the entrance of the cocktail in media. The celebration of World Cocktail Week will be presented to DC through The Museum of The American Cocktail with a nightlife event at Proof restaurant! Food, spirits and mixologists on site to bring you an exclusive cocktail experience.
