Trust for the National Mall Adds
C. Boyden Gray, Maxine Isaacs, and Steve Ricchetti to Board of Directors
Washington, DC – The Trust for the National Mall announced today that it welcomes C. Boyden Gray, Maxine Isaacs, and Steve Ricchetti to its board of directors.
“We are honored to add C. Boyden Gray, Maxine Isaacs, and Steve Ricchetti to our Board of Directors,” said Trust for the National Mall Chairman Chip Akridge. “Their respective talents, experience, and judgment will be a tremendous asset to the Trust for the National Mall as we seek to raise the $500 million necessary to restore and improve the National Mall. I thank them for their leadership and for the commitment they share with our thousands of supporters to preserve and protect the National Mall.”
C. Boyden Gray is a distinguished American diplomat with a long and celebrated career of public service. During the Administration of President George H.W. Bush, he served as White House Counsel. During the Administration of President George W. Bush, Mr. Gray served as U.S. Ambassador to the European Union, Special Envoy for European Affairs and Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy at the Mission of the United States to the European Union.
Maxine Isaacs is a thought leader on the relationship among politics, policy and public opinion and serves on the faculty at Harvard University. She worked in the White House and Senate for Walter F. Mondale. Maxine chairs the Women's Foreign Policy Group and is a Trustee of Skidmore College, the Folger Shakespeare Library, and Arlington's Signature Theatre.
Steve Ricchetti is a preeminent legislative strategist who has served as both a business and government leader. He was Deputy Chief of Staff under President Bill Clinton from 1999 to 2001 and led the Administration’s legislative affairs and political operations. He also served as a principal on the Clinton White House’s economic, budget, national security, and foreign policy teams. He is currently a principal and founder of Ricchetti Inc.
Gray, Isaacs, and Ricchetti will join the Trust for the National Mall’s current board of directors, whose members include:

The National Mall is the nation’s premier national park suffering from over 30 years of neglect and dwindling resources. The current deferred maintenance budget is $350 million, and the Trust estimates that the park needs an additional $150 million in visitor improvements. The Trust for the National Mall’s is the authorized partner of the National Park Service with a goal to make the National Mall the best park in the world.
